Custom Animal Shape Board Game Wooden Meeples

Custom Animal Shape Wooden Tokens Producing Process:

1. Customer send us the design of the custom board game tokens, we will first check the detailed requirements with customer, like wood material, color, quantity, packing case and others, to arrange raw material in advance.

Artwork file format can be .CDR. STL. STEP, STP, any other 3D formats.

Wooden material selection: There are three different kinds of wooden material for selection, each with its characteristics.

A. Multilayer boards, also called MDF.

The MDF is environmentally friendly and in low cost. But it’s not as durable as other two types of woods. The surface of MDF made products will peel off after using a long time.

B. Miscellaneous wood.

It’s a kind of wood that combined with different solid woods. The miscellaneous wood is harder than MDF.

C. Pure solid wood.

Such as maple, beech, etc. They are strong to avoid from deformation with high hardness. And products made of pure solid wood is with smooth surface without any burr to hurt hands when touching.

2. Make free samples, which are without painting and printing, for customer to inspect the shape and size of the wooden meeples.

3. When raw material comes to our warehouse, our professional QC will inspect the woods carefully, such as moisture content of the materials.

If moisture content is more than 14%, the woods must be dried at our specific drying room.

If the moisture content is below 14%, woods can be used for mass production without drying.

This is because the high water content of the woods will cause deform and crack of products during usage.

4. Cut the material.

First cut the wood to the required thickness, we can control the cutting error within 0.5 mm. Later to cut out custom shape by laser.

5. After the wooden tokens are cut, put them into a polishing barrel to remove burrs on the surface, so that the meeples are smooth which will not hurt hands when touching.

6. Painting.

At Game Doer, we use water-based varnish, which is absolutely environmentally friendly to paint all of our products.

7. Dry.

After painting, we will put all the products to drying room to dry them.

8. Packing.

Cardboard rigid box, plastic box, gift box, tin box and other custom boxes for selection.

9. Professional quality inspection.
